Direct recruitment for Post Graduate Assistants / Physical

Education Director Grade I / Computer Instructor Grade I in School Education and

other Departments for the year 2020-21., in para 9. Scheme of Examination, the

following amendment is being made.

Amendment to 9. Scheme of Examination

I) for Post Graduate Assistants and Physical Director Grade I the

following scheme will be followed.

i. The Computer Based Examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. 

Each question carries one mark. 

The marks allotted to the Main Subject,

Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are as

follows:

Main Subject-110

Educational Methodology-30

General Knowledge-10

Total-150

ii) Medium of Examination

a. Languages

                                       - Respective Languages

b. Bio-Chemistry, Indian

Culture, Micro Biology,

Home Science, Computer

Instructor and Physical

Education                              - English only

c. Other than the subject

mentioned in a and b

                                  - Both Tamil and English

iii. The syllabus for the subjects as published in Gazette

No.611, dated 10.09.2001 and Gazette No.356, dated

30.05.2002 will be covered in the Examination. The syllabus

can be downloaded from the TRB official website

iv) Minimum Eligibility Mark : As per G.O.Ms.No.107, School

Education, dated 24.07.2003 and Govt. Lr. No.12305/Q2/03-02,

dated 08.10.2003, candidates who secure a minimum of 50%

marks in written examination (for SC/SCA- 45% mark, ST-40%

mark) alone are eligible for recruitment

V)

for Post Graduate Computer Instructor Grade I the following

scheme will be followed.

i.

The Computer Based Examination will consist of a single

paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question

carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject

(Computer Science), General Knowledge and Education

Psychology as per Letter Rc.No.008101 /V1/E2/2019, Dated

22.02.2019 of Director of School Education.

ii.

The syllabus for the Examination has been issued in

G.O.(2D) No.10, School Education (SE7(1)) Department,

Dated 27.02.2019. The syllabus can be downloaded from the

TRB website
